Bahamas House: Fully Self-Contained Home
Fully self contained home of the future, -available today!
This home was deigned to be fully self contained, as is required on the outlying islands in the Bahamas. Energy is to be produced from Solar panels on the roof for both electricity generation and heat for a radiant floor system. The building envelope is to include the latest in technologies that can produce a home that only uses 20% of the energy that a contemporary home requires. Passive Solar management through design and other exterior features not shown here, are to ensure the home is comfortable to live in all year round. With the inverted roof requirement to collect rain water, cisterns below ground, and the latest in water filtration/purification systems ensure that this home does not need conventional infrastructural connections. The design incorporates open spaces and clear-spans to enhance the roomy feel in the spaces, but this also serves as a functional aspect to the home: using fewer materials to create a comfortable home! Couple this with our Materials solution and you have a home with Soft and Hard costs of no more than $200 per square foot!

Home Possibilities (From factory source - Custom!)
All of these homes are custom fabricated and delivered to the site in containers for assembly. No or low on-site fabrication needed by GC crews. The last home on the bottom right is the Colorado Home, during construction.
